hi all, very important update: a few weeks ago i purchased three melissa ferrick tickets and it turns out that i cant go to the concert. something more dire has come up and i am unable to go.

dear YRUUers, i'm so fucking sorry that i can't make the meeting tonight. i specifically told them that i could only work til 5 on sundays and they scheduled me anyway, and there's NOTHING i can do about it. however, i will be at the overnight on the 28th, although i may be getting there late, i WILL be there. please know that i dont mean for any of you to take this personally. i WANT to be there tonight. i really truly do, and ill be sending you guys warm, loving thoughts while im at work tonight. i love every single one of you very much. and i miss you even more than i love you. have fun tonight for me, guys. rock the roof off.

hey guys. i will not be able to attend this years campout because...well, i fucked up. i made poor decisions regarding alcohol, and it has caught up to me. on top of that, i have a large issue at hand.
i promised a large portion of wood to give to the group for this trip. in my absense, i want to still give it to you guys, but i have no way of getting it there. could someone possibly take some of it with them? call me if you can even take a small amount, it would mean alot to me. my number is 623-1472.

~~~~ATTENTION ALL NH/VT YRUU CONFEREES!!!!!!!!!!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~ The DYC has been discussing the idea of changing the age limit for cons from 22 to 20.
Several people (myself included) are upposed to this idea. therefore, Bryce (the DYC SAC) has posted a pettition on his live journal.
if you are against this change, PLEASE leave a comment with your name, saying that you are against the age change.
hopefully with enough support we can prevent this change from taking place.

hey everyone. Next weekend ( the 4th-6th) is Adventure con.
it is at the Horton Center in...... somwhere NH.
to get there from interstate 93 take rt. 3 through Twin Mountain and take a right at rt. 115. follow 115 to the juction of rt 2. Take the right and travel on rt. 2 for about 8 miles to Pinkham B road on the right. Travel the Pinkham B road for 2.4 miles and watch for the Pine Mt. Trail sign on the left.
You need a permission slip or a parent if you are under 18. if you cant get a hold of a permission slip, have your rents write a note containing your name, number, medical information, food preferance (vegetarian, carnivore, etc.) and a parents signature.
This is an ADVENTURE CON. which means it's at a camp site. there are cabins, but you still want to bring some outdoorsy stuff. sunscreen, bug spray, flashlight, sleeping bag, rain gear, warm clothes.
that sort of thing
it costs 30-40 dllars on a sliding scale (meaning you give whatever you can afford between 30-40 dollars. please give generously! your money will be put to making cons better) I hope to see you ALLLLL there. the Registrar is Shawn, his number is (603) 547-2605.

at the ditkoff residence from 6-10 PM this sunday.
directions:
To get to the Ditkoff’s house: 1. Route 93 to exit 4 (Route 102) 2. From the North turn RIGHT towards Londonderry; from the South turn LEFT towards Londonderry. 3. Follow Route 102 and counting the lights at Wendy’s as #1, go through 4 lights. At the 5th light, 2 miles down Route102, turn RIGHT onto Mammoth Rd. (Route 128) 4. At the first set of lights go LEFT onto Pillsbury Road. 5. Follow Pillsbury to the end, then go LEFT onto High Range Road. 6. Take your SECOND RIGHT onto Wiley Hill. (This really is a hill, so watch the speed signs!) Take your SECOND RIGHT onto Coleman Place. Ours is the first house on the right and you can park on both sides of the street. #4 Coleman Place 432-4235

hey everyone! so we covered a lot at this past meeting... so i figured that i, being the secretary, would fill you guys in who couldn't make it.
note: next week's meeting is REALLY important, we're voting on a campout board and talking about what to do for the rest of the year and next year...
p.s.: the meeting will be starting down in the fellowship hall.. we're going to clean up after the gmc concert, and then get down to business in the lounge. (sorry, that sounded dirty)

ok- so i talked to elizabeth this morning about the service. i've written a chalice lighting:
'the kitchen door has a glass panel in it. moon glows through. it's like radio waves washing over my body. and it strips from me the ashes of the days worries. an illusion, maybe. but i feel clean now. and refreshed. ready to start anew.'
we want everyone who feels so inspired [that means everyone :)] to write about a moment that inspired you relating to uuism. if you don't want to write about it, then just please at least think about it if you want to share.
bring in music, poetry, anything that touches you and makes you feel alive. anything that makes your soul sing. we'll all have a pile of awesome shit then and we'll have no problem with putting something together. i'm still writing something. if you have questions, call.
also, i'd like to call a mandatory meeting at the overnight. just to touch base with people- see if anyone has any feelings about what happened at the meeting last sunday. that cool with people?

hey guys
i hate to sound like the pessimest here, but... unless we get our shit together for the service soon, we're gonna be in a world of shit. and that world of shit will resemble something like us scrambling to figure what the service actually IS on friday. i'd try to help this but no one person hould decide for the group what the service should be about, especially when there is no concrete topic to start from. this is one reason why i don't have any clue what i'll be writing about for the service.
my main frustration from the last meeting is that new topics were sprouting still, which is part of the brainstorming stage. we were supposed to be past that, i believe the intent was to at least start writing down an orderly list of what is going down when. at least thats what i think about it. someone talk to me about this!

Main portion • Start with youth: thoughts on evolution of UU - Stories (anecdotes); memory (of your “moment”) • Back up in case above flops- plant people in audience to talk - Warn parents/ask parents to contribute to discussion/give heads-up • Youth group people who want to write something about evolution of UU - Us, personally, tell of self-defining moments/UU beliefs/ blahdy blahdy blah; *your beliefs and what caused them to be your beliefs, kinda - Can tell story, memory, poem, song, etc. - **limit ani; we need variety • Meditation: audience thinks of self-defining moment/etc. • Discussion - People share
Question(s), theme, idea… just throwin stuff on the table: • Self-defining moment= what was that one time, one spiritual time, that touched you? • We’ve all evolved differently, we’ve all come to the same place (we feel that we share something spiritual with people of UU, so question is what is it that we share?) <say that idea at beginning and end of service?
• Environment affects evolution of beliefs
• Time when beliefs are challenged? (how environment affect you? Similar situation but different environment, how did that affect different people?)
• What has affected you, what has influenced you to believe what you believe
